Silk Material

Silk belongs to the animal natural fibres and is the finest and softest natural fibre. It is also flexible, has a high breathability like no other natural fibre, has good thermal conduction qualities and can absorb up to 65% of its own weight in moisture without feeling wet. This makes it extremely absorbent.
In addition: silk is brilliant, light and temperature balancing. It is one of the most shape-retaining materials and has a stain-resistant surface.
It is made by processing the silk thread spun by silkworms. The silk threads come from the cocoon, which is built by the silkworms to transform into a butterfly. A finished cocoon consists of 800 m of continuous silk thread. Silk moths have been bred in China, Japan and India since 3000 BC.
