NIGHTWEAR INSPIRED BY FLOWERS
With great attention to detail, creativity and craftsmanship, all prints are hand-drawn in-house by HANRO designers. This is how individual brush strokes transform into a unique pattern. The "Poured Blossom" floral print for the nightwear series 'Eleni' of the fall/winter 2023 collection was created by HANRO designer Nora Döring and designed with a special "acrylic pouring technique".

WHAT WAS YOUR INSPIRATION FOR THE FLORAL PRINT?
I wanted to design something special this season that goes in an artistic direction and is handmade. In the past seasons you have seen a lot of marbled prints but also many floral prints. That's how I came across the "pouring technique", which really excited me.
HOW DOES THE SPECIAL "POURED FLOWERS" TECHNIQUE WORK?
For the flower print I prime a canvas with white acrylic paint. Then I pour different colors into each other and outline them again with primer. Different patterns, designs and color combinations are created by tilting, and panning the canvas. Blowing with a straw in different directions creates flowers, which can be designed differently depending on the pressure.
WHAT ARE THE MAIN COLORS IN 'ELENI'?
In order to make the nightwear line combinable with other pieces from the collection, we have chosen a strong red and a delicate pink for the colors. Orange accents on the flowers provide freshness and complete the print.
WHAT MAKES THE NIGHTWEAR SERIES SO SPECIAL?
I really like the print of 'Eleni'. The "pouring technique" creates wonderful floral patterns.
YOUR STYLING TIP FOR THIS FLOWER PRINT?
Personally, I find the print most effective in the "Total Look", because the flowers really come to the fore. But the print can also be perfectly combined with our velvet loungewear 'Favourites' in the color "Ruby Wine" as a ready-to-wear variant.
