Textiles and garments with modal fibres are exceptionally soft, but at the same time very elastic, breathable and kind to the skin.
Modal is a cellulose fibre made from beech wood. By using beech wood, the modal fibre therefore has the additional great advantage, besides the already mentioned skin-friendliness and the great temperature and moisture properties: it is incredibly soft and is therefore often added to other fibres such as cotton to make them even softer.
Since the raw material of cellulose fibres is the natural product wood, Modal is a non-synthetic fibre. Popular properties of modal are its durability and shape retention. In addition, it shows resistance to light, convinces with its easy care and elasticity.
