Designers favorite 'Lynn'

HANRO designer Elena Panagopoulos tells in an interview that 'Lynn' is her favorite collection from Fall/Winter 2019 and she explains more in-depth about what makes the collection so special and what her favorite items are.
WHAT HAS INSPIRED YOU TO CREATE THE LYNN COLLECTION?
The inspiration for the design of 'Lynn' comes from the 1920’s and 1930’s. The well-known the hit German TV series „Babylon Berlin“ took place during this time. The flair and the attitude to life of this epoch are reflected in the elegance and the colors within the collection. The elegant look of 'Lynn' is reminiscent of this era.
WHAT IS THE DESIGN LANGUAGE OF LYNN?
The collection is elegant, seductive and figure hugging, which is perfectly highlighted by the colors. The brilliant winter colors, cayenne and cypress are a good substitute for black. The color iced blossom beautifully accentuates the body due to the viscose-elastane fabric creating a silky look.
WHICH FABRICS HAVE BEEN USED FOR THIS COLLECTION?
The basic fabric of viscose-elastane is one of our best materials in the trend collection as it creates a silky look. The fabric comes from Willy Hermann in Austria. In general, we always try to use local companies and purchase 90% of our fabrics from our in-house production.
The silky viscose-elastane blend used in the 'Lynn' collection is ideal for bras, as well as for fitted bodydresses, and smoothly flowing kimonos. We use this viscose fabric with lace details every season. This Fall/Winter season the lace has been inspired by leaves and used generously. This makes 'Lynn' a very seductive, elegant series.
WHAT ARE THE HIGHLIGHTS OF THIS COLLECTION?
Both the bodysuit and bodydress are the major highlights of the series, as we have applied a very decorative full lace bust to both garments. The bodydress is perfectly suited as a slip – thanks to the viscose fabric, there is no electrostatic charge and the slip will not stick to clothing, and it can also be worn as a seductive negligee.
WHICH IS YOUR FAVORITE ITEM OF LYNN?
I think the kimono‘s great. It is very elegant and comfortable to wear due to the flowy material. I wear the kimono both as an elegant robe at breakfast and as an outerwear look - especially now. I like to wear the kimono outside, because the look of the 20s and 30s trends are back.
STYLING TIP
I personally like to wear the kimono as an outerwear piece, or style the bodysuit with a pair of jeans for a trendy, fashionable ensemble.
