COTTON SEAMLESS MIX & MATCH

A GOOD TEAM

The tops and bottoms of the 'Moments', 'Cotton Seamless' and 'Invisible Cotton' series are perfectly colour-coordinated.

One of the best-known examples of the high-quality workmanship and incomparable HANRO quality is the "Cotton Seamless" spaghetti top with no hem or side seams. The fabric is made of 100% long-staple cotton. It is knitted in the company's own production on specially designed, particularly fine circular knitting machines. This gives the fabric a particularly soft feel.

The mercerisation gives the top an incomparable, timeless sheen and increased durability. HANRO's attention to detail is reflected in the adjustable satin straps, which are a unique selling point compared to the competition.
In addition, the "Cotton Seamless" series is Oeko-Tex "Made in Green" certified.

PERSONAL STORY: Declaration of love to a legend

"My mother awakened my love for high-quality underwear. She had always dreamed of wearing a HANRO shirt. A HANRO shirt flashed out from under every blouse. This timeless vest has shaped my understanding of underwear, quality and attention to detail." (Simone, campaign model)

STORY OF AN ICON: HANRO goes HOLLYWOOD

This film gave the 'Cotton Seamless Top' cult status: simple and ravishingly feminine.

"HANRO started out as a revolutionary lingerie label that wanted to free women from uncomfortable corsets. Women like Coco Chanel quickly became prominent fans of the super comfortable lingerie. But Hanro became really famous in 1999, when Nicole Kidman seduced her then husband Tom Cruise in a transparent Hanro vest in Stanley Kubrik's erotic cult film "Eyes Wide Shut". Viewers were thrilled: this was the new 90s sexiness! Self-confident, equal, pure. The model sold out immediately - but today it's back in the programme as the 'Cotton Seamless' spaghetti top."

Even a vest has a story to tell!

When Albert Handschin founded a hand knitting factory in Liestal in 1884, it was not yet clear how successful his venture would be. He obviously had a good feel for the ladies, who were happy to swap their woven cotton underwear for knitted underwear. And later in the 1920s, Coco Chanel is said to have recommended that her customers wear HANRO's comfortable, stretchy underwear under their dresses. As early as the 1930s, HANRO already had remarkably simple and comfortable vests in its range. They were regarded as the precursor to the 'Cotton Seamless' we know today. In 1985, the vest was given its current shape with the satin edging and the typical neckline. In 2011, the material was adapted and the shape lengthened. Thus the 1601 was born. A milestone for long-time HANRO fans, who have been able to enjoy an even softer and more comfortable feel ever since.
